Eat Local Honey
Eat Local Honey is located in Mattapan, MA. Eat Local Honey brand honey is gathered and put into jars by Boston beekeeper Mike Graney. He's been keeping bees all around the Boston area since 1997. The honey for the 2010-2011 season comes from a number of hives in Mattapan. The flavor of Eat Local Honey is uniquely local: the honey changes as the season progresses, and is a true taste of what was flowering at the point in time when it was harvested. Now, Eat Local Honey is not organic. For those in the know, organic certification of honey is extremely difficult for any beekeeper and impossible for a small, urban beekeeper like Mike. We did our homework and came to the conclusion that it's quite alright that Mike's not certified. If you've got any questions about this, drop us (or him) an email!
