Nectarines

Nectarines

The Basics

Nectarines are very closely related to peaches, but are distinguished by their smooth, rather than fuzzy, skin. The flesh can be either white or yellow and is usually sweeter than peaches. (Read more about nectarines on Wikipedia.)

Storage Tips

In general, the nectarines we deliver should be stored in the refrigerator and left out on the counter anywhere from a few hours to a day before being used.

Nutrition

Nectarines are a great source of fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, niacin, and potassium. One small nectarine contains only 57 calories and contains no fat, cholesterol, or sodium. (See more nectarine nutrition facts at Self.com.)
