Tangelos

The tangelo is a citrus fruit that is a hybrid of a tangerine and grapefruit. Tangelos taste a lot like extra juicy tangerines and have a skin that's easier to peel than oranges. (Read more about tangelos on Wikipedia.)

Tangelos are high in fiber, potassium, thiamin, and vitamin A, and (like all citrus fruit) is very high in vitamin C. Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant that helps support the immune system, build healthy tissues, and maintain healthy bones, teeth, and blood vessels. Short-term, tangerines/tangelos will keep well at a cool room temperature. For longer-term storage, keep them in the refrigerator.
