Adam Lucia · Delivery Driver

Hometown: Bridgewater, MA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Carrots
Bio: After growing up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, I moved to Boston around the turn of the century and received a degree in writing from Emerson College a few years later. I have since lived in London, New York City, and Springfield, Missouri; before settling in Allston. I enjoy local adventures, including but not limited to: urban biking, rural hiking, and sailing in any climate.

Andy Peretti · Former Delivery Driver

Hometown: Salem, NH
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Avocados and Strawberries
Bio: I am a delivery driver at Boston Organics on hiatus from a career as an Officer in the Merchant Marine. Outside of Boston Organics I enjoy riding bicycles and bicycle mechanic work, as well as surfing/skateboarding, and playing music. I recently became a father of a beautiful little girl and I hope to some day own my own apple orchard and/or art space.

Brady White · Former Customer Service

Hometown: Alvarado, TX
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Watermelon, Cantaloupe
Bio: I grew up in a small town called Alvarado, Texas (population around 10,000) and went to college in Dallas, TX, for a recording technology degree. Graduated, then went to Baylor University. I proposed to Sarah McAdams, now White, and then got married in May 20, 2006. Finally, I ended my long journey of schooling at the University of Texas in Arlington. I enjoy taking road trips with my wife and dog, hanging out with friends, taking my dog to the park, and doing a lot of BBQin'. I've lived in Brighton for over a year now and have really enjoyed it. The winters are fun!

Christian Barraza · Warehouse

Hometown: San Jose, CA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Chocolate
Bio: Kate, America, my dog, jokes and bicycles.

Don Coburn · Former Warehouse Supervisor

Hometown: Brattleboro, VT
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Bananas
Bio: Before my time at Boston Organics I was the assistant manager of a movie theater in Vermont, upon my move to Cambridge I began working here in the warehouse. I've been DJing for about eight years and I currently have a monthly at the Weathervane back in Vermont. I enjoy the Red Sox and Fenway Park, techno music (breaks, house, drum and bass, dubstep), catching up with my Vermont friends (TEAMDON), and hanging out with my daughter Disa.

Dan Mickus · Former Fleet Manager

Bio: Dan came to Boston Organics after 4 years working at a local financial institution. His days of preparing financial reports and tweaking spreadsheets have helped him handle the quirky task of delivery logistics. Dan writes and records music and fixes his van in his spare time.

Frank Longo · Former Warehouse

Hometown: Concord, MA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Butternut Squash
Bio: I grew up all over Massachusetts, primarily in Concord. I attended Brandeis University where I studied International Relations. As a member of the Varsity Track & Field team I participated in the hurdles, high jump, long jump and triple jump. I enjoy international travel and live music. My goal in life is to build my own house in Sicily, Italy and retire there.

Galen Lipin · Former Marketing

Hometown: Derry, NH
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Patty Pan Squash
Bio: I braved the dense rainforests and sprawling deserts of New Hampshire and made my way south on a makeshift raft via the raging rapids of the Merrimack River. Running aground in Lowell, MA, I hoped to break into the field of mill-style building construction, though quickly discovered the local market was thoroughly saturated. Four years later I found myself with a degree in Music Business from the University of Massachusetts. After a two-year stint conceptualizing and handling national, tour, and event publicity for a variety of clients in the music world, I joined up with the crew at Boston Organics. An avid enjoyer of coffee and tinkering with code, instruments, and bicycles; I live in Gardner with my wife Libby and our two adorable cats.

Jeremy Pearson · Former Delivery Driver

Hometown: Oakland CA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Avocado
Bio: Never to be referred to as "Robert" (unless under severe weather conditions at sea), Jeremy has been working and farming the lands of the Boston Organics warehouse for some hundreds of years (6 months). It affords him a healthy and necessary exposure to delicious organic produce and the unique opportunity to study the various insects that call the leafy greens home (entymology being Jeremy's retirement plan). One could say Jeremy feels quite at home at Boston Organics; but then again, who wouldn't? In Jeremy's spare time he might be found reading, writing, makin' beats, playing with cute puppies and kitties, riding bicycles through minefields, trying to remember Wing Chun training, avoiding cell phones, stir-frying any object and making it edible and tasty, short walks on long piers, flying kites, historical adventure vacations, longing for canoes.

Jay Sullivan · Former Fleet Manager

Hometown: Lowell, MA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Garlic
Bio: I grew up in Lowell, MA, back when boom boxes were huge and linoleum wasn't just for flooring. After graduating from Montserrat College of Art, I moved to Boston to be closer to my friends. I've spent the past six years working for Boston Organics, making sure the produce gets where it needs to go. After retiring my driving gloves, I moved into the office, where I supervise delivery logistics. Outside of work, you can find me sipping a homebrew beer, playing music in any number of local groups, or letterpress printing on a vintage Kelsey press.

Matt Malinowski · Webmaster

Hometown: Woodford, VT
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Asparagus
Bio: I grew up in southern Vermont outside of Bennington. I went to the Putney School for high school, then to the University of Chicago for a degree in Philosophy. And then, I moved to Cambridge. I very reluctantly left Boston Organics to move to Austin at the end of July 2011. I like cycling.

Matthew Sousa · Former Warehouse and Driver

Bio: Matt currently works in the warehouse and has also been a driver for Boston Organics since March of 2005. Matt graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a major in media production. In his spare time Matt makes comedy videos. He has walked across Europe twice taking 3 and half months per trek. Matt loves all things organic!

Nate Puffer

Bio: Nate has an educational background in the natural resource sciences, economics, and law. He is glad to be a contributing member of this growing small business with an ecology-conscious mission. A "retired" lawyer, he spends as much time as possible learning and playing old-time songs and tunes on the mandolin and fiddle, writing about issues of great theoretical importance, and performing on mandolin with the band Bread and Roses. Also he bakes cornbread often and prepares sandwiches nearly every day to eat while cheerfully delivering your organic produce and contemplating the many pressing social issues of our times.

Sam Bett · Delivery Driver and Events

Hometown: Weymouth, MA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Daikon
Bio: I grew up in Weymouth, MA, near the marshes of Great Esker Park, where I learned about the natural world and became an expert in horseshoe crab anatomy. In fourth grade I wanted to be a botanist, and spent a lot of time listening to The Beatles. In 2009 I graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a degree in English and Japanese, having spent over a year in Japan studying abroad. After backpacking that summer in Italy and Croatia, I took a seasonal position at a Japanese organic farm in Hadley, MA, where I gained firsthand experience with organic farming. My hobbies include making labor intensive homemade foodstuffs like bread, beer, maple syrup, and hard cider, publishing a literary zine called Between Lavas and a slow food zine called Easy Jaws, and going on adventures to quirky and unusual destinations with my fun loving friends.

Sarah Harre · Former Customer Service

Bio: Sarah lost her heart to the orchards of Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, Virginia, where she and her family picked their own peaches and apples for 20 years near their northern Virginia home. Countless farmstands and several restaurant jobs later, Sarah loves staying connected to the land and good food by working at Boston Organics, where she uses her background in global health advocacy and her master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government to practice the art of customer service. When she's not connecting with customers, Sarah loves to figure skate, dance, listen to country/bluegrass music and find new ways to stay warm during cold Boston winters.

Stephen Nunes · Delivery Driver

Hometown: North Dighton, MA
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: Avocado
Bio: I lived in Philadelphia for six years, studied graphic design and painting, and worked for two years as a production designer before packing up and moving to Boston. I currently call Dorchester home, and I am a delivery driver at Boston Organics. In my free time, I've built a few noise generator/oscillator/analog synth devices and I make music under the name findings.

Sarah Schwanz · Former Warehouse/Delivery Driver

Hometown: Buffalo, NY (represent)
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable: White Nectarines
Bio: I call Somerville home and I am a driver and warehouse worker at Boston Organics. My interests include obsessive re-watching of Tarantino films, Zoe Bell, vintage Nintendo games, the Buffalo Bills, Joss Whedon, my dog Beatrix Kiddo (AKA cutest Dachshund ever - see obsessive Tarantino), pop culture, Madonna, and who doesn't love a very special musical episode of TV shows? I will bet you one-hundred bucks that I can destroy you at Dr. Mario.
